DVD Synchronized Display
Synchronized multi-screen display refers to the ability to create video programming that is split across more than one video screen. The motivation for doing this is to create a display system which allows for a larger than normal video program. When the displays are being fed by separate video playback devices such as DVD players, the playback devices must be synchronized with each other so that the video elements will display at the appropriate time. As an example, if you have an image or text in a multi-display system which “moves” from one display to the next, proper synchronization allows the text to move smoothly between screens and appear on the next display at the exact time it’s supposed to. The photo above is of a multi-display system that we installed at a major hospital in Annapolis, Maryland. The three Mitsubishi 40-inch LCD widescreen displays are used to show a continuously-running video program. The displays are driven by three Pioneer industrial DVD players synchronized using special hardware. Creating DVD's for multi-widescreen playback is not easy, unless you’re an expert at it. We partner with such an expert, Spicer Pro, to create these video programs for our customers. We provide the industrial quality display, playback, and synchronization components and installation, and Spicer Pro creates the video programming. By teaming together, our customers don’t have to worry about the details required to get spectacular video programming playing across multiple large-format screens. Synchronized DVD players aren’t the only way to create synchronized multi-screen display systems. We understand the various methods and when to use each. Contact us regarding your specific needs and we will design the system appropriate for you. Contact
