As a result of our early beliefs, Atlantic Media Productions is now one of the most experienced DVD companies around. Although our specialty is authoring extremely interactive titles and DVD-Video games, we are also experienced at regular and advanced DVD authoring for the corporate and entertainment industries. As you can see by the DVD cover photos shown on our Services page, we have authored well over a dozen published DVD movies and "Rock-umentaries". Additionally, we’ve authored countless other corporate titles for sales and tradeshows, and we've created DVD titles for the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, the National Building Museum, the U.S. Army Recruiting Command, and the Maryland Science Center, to name just a few.

With respect to advanced DVD authoring, we are best known for our role in the creation of two DVD-Video games, "Dracula Unleashed" and "Sherlock Holmes - Consulting Detective". Get a glimpse into the unique aspects of these two extraordinary DVD titles. To create them we used one of the most sophisticated and capable DVD authoring tools available, Sonic Scenarist Pro. We still use this powerful tool for all of our DVD authoring needs.

You may know that authoring a DVD is only half the job. The video and audio must be encoded prior to authoring. We made the investment in one of the industries top-notch work horse encoders, the Minerva Systems Compressionist. The features of this high-end encoder allow us to perform both constant and variable bit rate (two pass) encoding, re-encoding of selected segments, D1 and component inputs, frame accurate computer controlled start/end times, embedded timecode, and specific in-points for DVD chapter marks.

In 2001, it was reported that half of all DVD movies coming out of Hollywood were produced using the same DVD authoring software and video encoding hardware that we use. Clearly, we use some of the best tools available!
